Specifically, on April 27, 2022, Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask JSC and TechX Corp. and Amazon Web Services (AWS) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to mark the cooperation relationship between the three parties in the field of digital transformation associated with cloud computing & data science services, committed to accompany Rang Dong in developing the RalliSmart platform to create added value for customers.
As one of the leading AWS partners in Vietnam, TechX will act as a Strategic Consulting Partner in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the transformation roadmap as well as providing training programs to improve digital transformation capacity for Rang Dong’s personnel. The Smart Home Ecosystem that “Made in Vietnam”
RalliSmart is a smart home solution “Make in Vietnam” belonging to Rang Dong 4.0 Product Ecosystem developed based on core technologies of lighting and IoT. Entering the 2nd generation development phase, Rang Dong’s system requires higher requirements on technology to ensure stability and ability to continuously update the system to optimize the customer experience.
When jointly evaluating the existing system, TechX and Rang Dong’s Board of Directors have recognized that the biggest problem today is that the infrastructure is not strong enough to ensure smooth integration and connection between devices, equipments, and IT systems to be able to operate and smoothly circulate data in the entire system. In addition, Rang Dong’s Board of Directors also identified the need for backup plans to synchronize the entire operating and management system, minimizing the risks of system failures.
Solutions and Results
As a strategic digital transformation consulting partner of Rang Dong, TechX proactively proposed a solution to deploy the entire infrastructure on the AWS Cloud platform. Specifically, TechX implemented an Auto-scaling architecture to optimize performance, save costs, and simplify the management and auto-scaling of resources running in the environment. By re-architecting a specialized and efficient infrastructure, the 2nd generation RalliSmart system has been upgraded, allowing up to 20 million commands per hour to be processed, ensuring to fully meet the needs of users at any place, any time of day.
To support the monitoring of the system, TechX also proposed and set up an automatic administration system to monitor and evaluate the general situation of the system close to real time. With a monitoring table of 20 indicators and an automatically set up warning system, Rang Dong’s administrators can promptly issue action scenarios when an incident is about to happen.
In addition, TechX has applied AWS smart financial management frameworks to optimize costs for customers, while re-architecting the system, eliminating redundant resources. As a result, Rang Dong has cut nearly 20% of monthly infrastructure costs for the production environment. These cost savings can be used to reinvest in building a Staging/Devtest environment to promote research and innovation continuously.
